Well, we finally did it. After months of kicking around the idea, followed by a mad dash to find a venue, we’ve finally made arrangements for the first-ever live Crunchable reading. And everyone’s welcome to join us celebrating Crunchable’s decennial.
The reading will be at the Bookplate, a rare book seller in Chestertown, MD (the Eastern Shore town that’s home to Washington College, where most of us Crunchable writers met each other), at 2 p.m. on Saturday, November 19. To keep your GPS happy, you might want to know that the Bookplate’s address is 112 S. Cross Street, Chestertown, MD, 21620.
I’m proud to report this has grown into a joint project with the Writers’ Union at Washington College. Katie Manion, who heads the union, has been a huge help in getting this together, and while we’re still working out the specifics, we’ve agreed at least a few Writers’ Union members will read with us at the event. Tom Martin at the Bookplate has also been great to work with.
We’d love to know who will join us on the 19th, so please leave us a note here in the comments or check in on our Facebook event page. Thanks, and we’ll see you soon!
BONUS: Live, work or study in Chestertown and want to help us promote the event? Download our flyer (5.7 MB, sorry), print it out, and show it to your friends. Thanks!
