It was all worthwhile. Someday, there’ll be a church there, where decent people can come and worship.

We also had to demolish a shed, and the amount of debris was surprising. I was worried that the chipmunks would never return, after we generated so much destruction of their perfectly acceptable shelter, but return they did. We then erected a perfectly good shed where the other one had stood. Now it is about ready to be demolished. Ivy has managed to grow up inside the structure from a tiny crack; ants made dust messes, spiders moved in and rearranged the furniture to suit them. Everything inside shed #2 has a fine film of shed crud covering it. So once again, we may have to do the same enormous job, if we ever become that ambitious. The next shed will be made of gutta percha, or some lifetime guaranteed substance. Au Revoir, sheds.

I love this story! We are in the midst of our own shed teardown terror. Many paint cans, tar, timbers have been our foes today. The shed is flat on the ground now, and awaits cutting up tommorrow…what fun!!
